Pakistan’s business environment is filled with opportunity, the saying of ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’ can apply here. Sometimes its just a matter of perspective. Our fund came across an acquisition opportunity in the Red Ocean of PVC Pipes, an unregulated and complex market. To most, they would have passed on this – a crowded market, unregulated, highly competitive.
We saw it differently, the manufacturing facility was ready, the machinery was collecting dust and would shift to producing loss making output in the same segment. So what did we do? We repurposed the factory and shifted to MDF and Vinyl production – with consistent demand and a far more positive business outlook.
Such a mindset allows us to unlock undervalued acquisition opportunities facilitating aggressive Return on Investment figures.
